Huang Dan (better known as Huang Jin Gui) from my Anxi Long Juan tea farm, crafted and shaped in the traditional manner, in both form and spirit.
Even after a deep wood charcoal roast, its osmanthus-like fragrance still rises with remarkable clarity. I had almost forgotten how gentle, how elegantly composed this aroma can be — instantly awakening the senses, as if time itself softened for a moment.
The liquor is silky — tactile, yet never heavy on the tongue. A gentle dance of caramel sweetness, floral notes, and a bright hint of red-berry tartness glides effortlessly across the palate, then flows down the throat. As I exhale, the tea’s lingering perfume rises again — a retroflection of flowers and warmth.
