My Notes
This Hangzhou Long Jing has been one of the cornerstones of our selection since 2004. For more than twenty years, we have sourced it from the same grower and the same area in Hangzhou, returning each spring to a tea we know well and continue to enjoy drinking ourselves.
The tea leaves produce a medium-bodied liquor with notes of roasted peanut, toasted soybean, and fresh spring greens. A gentle citrus brightness runs through the cup, bringing clarity to the sweetness that lingers after each sip. The texture is smooth and satisfying, with enough depth for experienced drinkers while remaining approachable for everyday brewing.
It is a straightforward, honest Long Jing that expresses the style clearly: clean, balanced, and dependable, offering excellent value without losing sight of what makes Long Jing one of China's most celebrated green teas.
