Jin Mu Dan
Jin Mu Dan
Made from Tie Guan Yin and Huang Jin Gui, this half a century old hybrid has always remained quite elusive on the market for the profit of Wu Yi oolong tea such as Da Hong Pao, Rou Gui, and Shui Xian.
Harvested spring 2023 in Wuyi Shan and at an altitude above 600m. This traditionally processed Wuyi oolong has a medium charcoal roast with wet leaves giving a floral fragrance enveloped in a rich, yet delicate woody note reminiscent of cedar frankincense.
The tea shows good depth with a full bodied tea liquor and high aromas of yellow flower that start to increase past the 3rd brew. A good Wu Yi oolong tea to age or to drink
Certification: EU-compliant
Suggestions
We like to use a good Pin Zi Ni with a water temp of 90-95c and pair this indulgent oolong tea with a banana bread. The tea will keep for 5 years or more but as with every tea, it is suggested to have at least 500gr and a proper storage container.
