Born in the misty mountains of Fenghuang and shaped by generations of expertise, Mr. Huang’s journey reflects the living soul of Dancong tea—a family legacy refined through experience and carried forward with vision and devotion.
For generations, the Huang family has cultivated tea in the heart of Fenghuang, Chaozhou—a tradition deeply rooted in every branch of their lineage. In 1989, Mr. Huang took the family’s expertise to a professional level by setting the family business in Canton. By 2016, he began operating under his own brand, continuing the legacy but with a renewed commitment and a clear vision for the future of Fenghuang Dancong.
From a young age, Mr. Huang followed his elders into the fields, learning the rhythms of tea cultivation and the intricate process of Dancong production. In his youth, he apprenticed under several of the most respected tea masters of the Phoenix Mountains, gaining deep, hands-on knowledge of every traditional step involved in crafting Dancong tea and developed a keen sensitivity and intuition for charcoal roasting, one of the most nuanced and defining stages of Dancong production. As the saying goes, “learning the tea and playing with fire” became his specialty. Mr. Huang has won numerous awards in his township for excellence in traditional tea roasting. Under his craftsmanship, a well-prepared base tea becomes a true masterpiece.
Today, his company ranks among the top ten tea enterprises in the Fenghuang Dancong industry and he holds the position of vice-chair member within the local Tea Association. He also oversees the management of their ecological tea gardens, which are certified for China Green Food production.
This is more than just a business for the Huang family. It is a lifelong devotion—rooted in family, shaped by the land, and carried forward by the timeless spirit of the mountains.
