The taste and level of oxidation was about what I was looking for, but for some reason, this one falls short of my expectations. The tea inexplicably seems to make my stomach hurt every time I brew it (in a way that other teas, even oolongs of the same or lower level of oxidation, don't). The other reviewers seem to like this one, so maybe I'm just crazy.
The wet leaves are maybe a little choppy and incomplete, though it's possible that the grower doesn't use pesticides and the leaves are just bitten a lot.
Overall, I've had better and had worse. To be fair, most of the ones which are better (in my opinion) are also more expensive.
I'm kind of torn between giving it a 2.5 or a 3, but I'm going to go with 3. |
