excellent novice tea!, 04 Jun 2007
by Jane

I received a sample of this tea in my last order and brewed up several pots last night, to immense enjoyment all around. This tea is intensely green and heartstoppingly aromatic, yet very forgiving to brew for a novice like me; accidental oversteeping still resulted in tea that was smooth and delicious. It's easily my favorite of all the green oolongs I've tried, and the best-priced, as well. Many thanks to Jing for sending the sample--I'll be ordering more soon!

Very nice, 29 May 2007
by Leif

I received a sample of this with a recent order.

The flavour is floral (orchids?) and sweet caramel, with a subtle hint of cloves in the background. I was able to get at least 3 good steepings from the leaves.

The tightly rolled leaves unfurl on steeping to almost fill the cup, much to the amusement of friends and colleagues.

I was surprised to find that this tea is mid-priced, and well worth trying.

High aroma light oolong, 29 Jan 2006
by V Lukyanov

This is indeed a very lightly oxidised Oolong, it is very floral without too much nutty creaminess, but there is some floral creaminess present. Overall another quality tea from Jing Tea Shop.

Dry leaf appearance is fresh, even fresher than on the picture, emerald green in color. Wet leaf appearance is a deep but vibrant green, the leaves are large and well defined, just right for this type of tea.

After the initial rinse this tea begins to show its aroma, there are numerous steepings to enjoy but this tea will make a very light aromatic brew, it is not heavy. The taste is varied and interesting. The aftertaste is also pleasant, different from Wuyi teas which have a different heavier aftertaste.

I rated this tea 4.5 because it is a good tea for a good price!
