Also known as the king of green tea, Tai Pin Hou Kui is the most famous and expensive green tea from An Hui province. Only the highest quality of leaves from the FIRST harvest can be used to make Tai Ping Hou Kui and prices for AAA grade (premium), at the farm, can go as high as around usd 1000/500gr!
What we were able to get this year is a nice grade A which is already a tea that we would recommend to seasoned green tea drinker who find pleasure in subtlety. Liquor is of a pale yellow with a medium thick body. Sweetness builds up in the palate cup after cups and a delicate flowery aftertaste stays long after finishing drinking. - ORDER A SAMPLE -
