This is a fresh hand processed green tea that is produced before the Qing Ming fete in the early spring. Zhu Cha is made using leaves of 1 bud and 2 to 3 leaves but in this case, the tea is only made using which carries a fresh green color with lots of fine white hairs on the buds. The liquor has a shinny yellow color that is clear and thick. The refreshing taste complemented by a pleasant flowery note makes of this tea a great companion for a quick afternoon tea or a early morning cup. Tips : When you brew Chinese green tea in a gaiwan, always leave a little bit of tea in the gaiwan between each infusion. This is call “the root” and will allow you to get the best of the green tea.
