An unique occasion for pu erh collectors and cooked pu erh tea lovers!
This particular batch of #7572 from the famous Meng Hai Tea Factory was produce in 1997 and it is the complementary beeng cha of the famous raw #7542 Water Blue Label which was launch in 1996. This particular beeng cha is the first production ever of cooked beeng cha using the famous Water Blue Label wrapper and beeing 500gr from Meng Hai Tea Factory hence its high collectors value.
The tea has been well stored in Guang Dong by a friend of ours who graduated and work for the CNNP and whose specialty is pu erh tea. He bought this tea when it was launched on the market in 1997 and has kept it since then. The dry leaves offer a pleasant nutty flavor and a strong fragrance of what is called "Meng Hai flavor" as only the famous factory has been able to give their cooked pu erh tea such fragrance.
The amazing thing about such good tea is that it is very hard to not brew it correctly. Using 7 grams of tea with 100ml of water and a short steeping time, the liquor will be of medium density, smooth and will offer a pleasant nutty flavor. Forget the tea for 3 or 4 minutes and the liquor will offer a deep brown reddish liquor with a thick texture smooth like velvet. Everything that represents Meng Hai Tea Factory cooked pu erh tea character will be obviously present in that cup!
