Right from the start, during the wash, the tea releases a beautiful white flowery fragrance, not the little white flower type but the big bold one. In the front, there is a lovely touch of citrus, the tea liquor has a good volume and after a few cups, the tea releases more of that thick but delicate flavor which fill the mouth. The after taste is long and gives an interesting mix between floweriness, sweetness, and a touch of that delicate bitterness which makes lightly baked dancong tea so interesting.
We suggest to brew this tea in porcelain tea ware, such as gaiwan, unless you own a well seasonned Yixing teapot used for high fragrance tea and do not hesitate to let your cup cool down before sipping.
* Tasted in a Qing Hui Ni Yixing teapot.
