Dry leaves appearance : Tightly shaped and rolled into curly form. Leaves are shaped flatly and are straight and smooth. The “Yu Ye (fish leaves)” are the guaranties of the first picked of the year.
Aroma : Delicate flowery aroma
Liquor : Shinny and “greasy” pale greenish-yellow liquor with excellent clarity that tells the tea is indeed a high mountain plantation. Thick and “oily” liquor offers a good mouth feeling, which is smooth, lively and yet refreshing.
Taste : The taste is sweet and exquisite and followed by a long lasted sweet “Hui Gan (after taste)”.
Tips : When you brew Chinese green tea in a gaiwan, always leave a little bit of tea in the gaiwan between each infusion. This is call “the root” and will allow you to get the best of the green tea.
