Harvesting : Early Spring 2009 (pre Qing-Ming)
Grade : AA Net Weight : 100gr/3.53oz Origine : Huang Shan Mountain, Huang Shan City, Anhui province. Plantation attitude : 700 ~800 meters above sea level. Plantation varietals : Huang Shan Da Ye Zhong, Di Shui Xiang variety. Certification : Small production directly from local farmer. Dry leaves appearance : One bud and 1 to 2 tender leaves that hold a form of sparrow tongue. Even and strong appearance shows pale green-yellow color. Fine hairs are obviously seen on the buds. Aroma : The aroma of the dry leaves is delicate and has a nice mix of eggy touch Liquor : The tea liquor is very pale and clear. There is a hint of ginger flower in the back which becomes more obvious in the second brew and in the third. The tea is fresh and crisp with a good level of sweetness. We suggest to use water at around 90C and let the cool down a little bit to fully appreciate the flowery character of this lovely green tea Taste : The subtle and long fragrance is very pleasant in the cup. And it gives an even more attractive fragrance when the liquor actually cools down. Freshness consistently shows along with the brewing combined with a pure and refreshing mouth feeling. The after taste is sweet and long lasting. - ORDER A SAMPLE - Tips : When you brew Chinese green tea in a gaiwan, always leave a little bit of tea in the gaiwan between each infusion. This is call “the root” and will allow you to get the best of the green tea.
