Price:
$40.15

Harvesting : Early Spring 2009 (pre Qing-Ming)

Grade : AAA

Net Weight : 100gr/3.53oz

Origine : Weng Jia Shan (mountain), Long Jing, Xi Hu Area, Hang Zhou City, Zhe Jiang Province.

Plantation attitude : 200 meters above sea level.

Plantation varietals : Original Long Jing tea varietal

Certification : Small production directly from local farmer

Notice : Harvested from aged trees.

Dry leaves appearance : Leaves are skinny and “unevenly” shaped due to the age of the tea trees and the fully hand processing method. The “Yu Ye (fish leaves)” are the guaranties of the first picked of the year.
Pale green color leaves with occasionally firing marks on the surface.

Aroma : Fresh and delicate “sauté” bean fragrance in good purity

Liquor : Shinny and “grassy” liquor with excellent clarity. The color of the liquor is so pale that is almost similar to pure water color, which presents a authentic high mountain harvest. Thick and “oily” liquor offers a good mouth feeling, which is smooth and lively.

Taste : Freshness is the first impression to the pallet. A delicate citrus touch offers a clean and inspired feeling to the mouth. Weng Jia Shan Long Jing is the favorite premium Long Jing of Jing Tea Shop. Its typical eggy and subtle nutty flavor is well layered with a fresh tea taste resulting in an elegant combination. The unmissable nutty flavor fragrance is pure, which continues consistently and deeply from the back. The taste is sweet and exquisite that followed by a long lasted “Hui Gan (after taste)”.

Tips : When you brew Chinese green tea in a gaiwan, always leave a little bit of tea in the gaiwan between each infusion. This is call “the root” and will allow you to get the best of the green tea.

The first time I had this tea was over 34 years ago when I purchased some at Harrods of London. Unfortunately, in all the years between then and now I had been unable to find more until I located it at the Jing tea Shop. Ahhh, bliss! The first pot I brewed had an unpleasant bitterness as an aftertaste and I almost despaired. But by following your directions and adding the "root" to the next brew, I was delighted to find that all was well and the bitter aftertaste was gone forever. THANK YOU, Jing Tea Shop people!! This is a VERY delicate and floral green tea. It is a tea that I can drink all day long. If you want a healthful, beautiful green tea that is delicious all day and is unforgettable (even after 34 years)for it's pure, clean, and delicate flavor, then this is the tea for you.
May all the families involved in the growth and production (and marketing!) of this tea have abundant blessings in the years to come.
